We are a non-profit institution, that officially opened our doors on September 7, 1931, with a capacity of 34 beds, 6 children's cribs, and 13 bassinets. Today, Harrington has grown to be a modern, 113-bed hospital which provides quality health care to a service area of approximately 350 square miles covering 17 towns in South Central Massachusetts and Northeastern Connecticut.
When a patient, family member, employee, or physician has an opportunity to choose a hospital, our goal is to ensure that Harrington Memorial Hospital will be their choice, because we deliver personalized, compassionate care that embodies the highest standards of clinical excellence and provides superior value to patients.
From its beginning, Harrington Memorial Hospital has been serving and has been sustained by the local community. As a community hospital, and now at the beginning of a major expansion, we seek your assistance in meeting our goals. There are many ways to support the hospital and some key tax considerations which may help donors increase the amount of their gifts. As a community "not-for-profit" hospital, we operate in the interest of the public, not the shareholders.
